EastEnders box ticked for another year

Kush is doing Strictly. That's the headline, here's the rub. There's always an EastEnders star in the mix and this year we've got it out of the way nice and early on as the second celeb revealed to be taking to the dancefloor in 2017 is Davood Ghadami.

This isn't just ticking the annual EastEnders box. Davood Ghadami is one of those names which appears fairly regularly on the will they, won't they list of potential Strictly stars so we've got a long time possibility entering the fray as well. Oh, and he's quite easy on the eye. So we know we're guaranteed to get at least one round of Claudia's 'so sorry we put you with someone so unattractive' jokes on the launch show.

We also need to add that not only has he starred in one of the most watched TV shows in the country for the past three years and won awards while doing it, he was previously best known for a regular role in another high profile series, Taggart, and he's also been in Casualty and Doctor Who. We are talking serious fan base here. Providing he can actually walk once in sequins, whichever female pro draws this celeb is in for a run past Blackpool. When no doubt, like every other EastEnders star, he'll encounter a packed Christmas filming schedule and end up exhausted. Who cares? Kush is doing Strictly. Things are looking up.
